A Confusion Worth Clearing: Which TGT Subjects?

Read the notice carefully before deciding which subject to apply for. The opening line of the interview notice names TGT (Mathematics) and Special Educator, and the interview table adds Yoga Teacher. But the qualification table inside the same notice lists TGTs in English, Sanskrit, Social Science and Mathematics, all at the same Rs. 26,250 pay and with the same eligibility conditions. In practice, this means the panel may cover more than one TGT subject even though the headline highlights Mathematics. If you teach English, Sanskrit or Social Science, do not assume you are excluded — check the school website (murena.kvs.ac.in) or contact the school before 5 November and confirm whether your subject is being interviewed that day. The same notice also carries a stray line about a “Vocational Instructor” panel on its application form, although no such post is listed for this interview — another reason to confirm the exact posts with the school rather than relying on one line of the form.

Eligibility Criteria

TGT

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject.
• B.Ed. or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
• Proficiency to teach in both English and Hindi medium.
• Must have qualified the CTET examination.

Yoga Teacher

• Yoga and sports teachers or coaches who are qualified and certified in their respective fields (as specified under PM SHRI).

Special Educator (Elementary)

• Must be CTET qualified, plus any one of the RCI-recognised qualifications listed in the notice — for example, Class XII with a two-year D.Ed. in Special Education, or a one-year Diploma in Special Education (DSE), or a Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (DCBR) with a six-month certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs, or equivalent RCI-approved qualifications such as PGDCBR, MRW, DHLS, DVR-MR/DVTE-MR routes, Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf, or a teacher-training course in Visual Impairment.

The official notification does not specify an age limit or an application fee for this walk-in. Do not rely on the age limits of regular KVS recruitments for this panel — if age matters for your case, confirm it with the school before travelling. The application form printed in the notice asks for age as on 31.03.2025, which appears to be carried over from an older form format; treat the notice itself, not that printed date, as the governing document, and clarify any doubt with the school.

What “Panel” Really Means — Read Before You Travel
