The RRB Technician Admit Card 2026 is out, and railway aspirants are down to a four-day countdown. The Railway Recruitment Boards released the e-call letter for CEN No. 02/2026 on 2 October 2026 — for both Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III — covering 6,557 vacancies. The Computer Based Test starts on 6 October and runs till 9 October 2026. If you applied, tonight is the night to download the card and cross-check every line on it.
This post covers the official download steps, the release timing that is confusing a lot of candidates, what to verify on your hall ticket, the exam-day rules RRB has laid out, and the mistakes people make when an admit card arrives this close to the exam.

Don’t Panic If Your Download Link Isn’t Active Yet
This is the single biggest source of anxiety right now, so let me address it first. RRB released the admit cards from 2 October 2026, but the release appears to be linked to your exam date. Sources tracking the release report that candidates whose CBT is scheduled for 7, 8 and 9 October may see their admit card link activate on 3, 4 and 5 October respectively.
So if you log in today and the Technician (CEN 02/2026) e-call letter link is missing, it may simply mean your exam is slotted for a later date. Check your exam date on the city intimation slip first — then check the portal again on the dates above. It does not automatically mean your application was rejected.
The City Intimation Slip Is Not the Admit Card
RRB released the exam city intimation slip from 27 September 2026. That slip told you only the city of your exam and the date. The admit card released on 02/10/2026 is the actual entry document: it carries your exact centre name and address, shift, reporting time, roll number, and the printed exam-day instructions. Every year, candidates turn up at the gate with only the slip and are turned away. The slip will not get you in — the admit card will.
How to Download the RRB Technician Hall Ticket 2026
- Go to the official candidate portal, rrbapply.gov.in.
- Click the Candidate Login button on the homepage.
- Enter your registration number and your password (your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format).
- Fill in the captcha code and click Login.
- Open the admit card / e-call letter link for Technician (Grade I and III) — CEN No. 02/2026.
- Verify all details on screen, then download the PDF and take a clear colour printout — keep a spare copy.
What to Check on Your Admit Card — Line by Line
With the exam days away, a mismatch spotted late can cost you the attempt. On your printout, verify:
- Your name, photograph and signature — must match your application form. A wrong or unclear photo is the most common problem.
- Registration number and roll number — save the roll number separately in your phone.
- Exam date and shift — the CBT runs across 6–9 October in multiple shifts; yours is printed only here.
- Centre name and full address — new information versus the city slip. Look up the route today.
- Reporting time and gate closure — follow this, not the exam start time.
- The instructions printed on the card — these decide which ID proof and documents you carry. They override anything you read on social media.
Exam Day — Documents and Rules
| Carry | Do NOT carry |

| Passport-size photograph, if required (same as uploaded during registration) | Calculators |
| Transparent blue or black ballpoint pen, if permitted | Books, notes, papers or study material |
| Aadhaar Card (see below) | Pen drives, storage devices or other electronic gadgets |

RRB Technician Selection Process
The recruitment under CEN No. 02/2026 has three stages: the Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by Document Verification and a Medical Examination for shortlisted candidates. Selection is based on the CBT merit, so the next four days of preparation matter more than anything else — get the logistics out of the way tonight and use the remaining days for revision. (Railway aspirants following other RRB exams may also want to check our coverage of the RRB ALP CBT-II Result 2026, declared earlier this week.)
Common Mistakes Candidates Make Right Now
- Treating the city intimation slip as the admit card. The slip (from 27/09/2026) shows the city; the admit card (from 02/10/2026) shows the centre. Carry the card.
- Panicking over a missing download link. Admit card activation is linked to your exam date — check again on 3, 4 and 5 October if your exam is on 7, 8 or 9 October.
- Downloading from a third-party link. Fake “admit card” pages spike during a four-day window. Use only rrbapply.gov.in.
- Forgetting to unlock Aadhaar. A locked Aadhaar can slow your biometric verification at the gate.
- Checking the route on exam morning. Look up the centre today; on exam day you want to arrive before reporting time with time to spare.
