Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification: ITI Pass Certificate (NCVT) in the respective trade. Qualifications must be from Indian institutes recognised by the appropriate statutory authority.
Domicile: This is a hard filter — only candidates residing in any district of Telangana State are eligible. Check this before you start applying.

Who cannot apply: Candidates who have already undergone, or are currently undergoing, apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 in any government, PSU or private organisation are not eligible for this engagement.
Selection Process — No Written Exam
Selection happens in two stages, and neither involves a written test:
- ITI marks merit: Merit is drawn from your ITI marks. 70% of seats are engaged from Government ITI students and 30% from Private ITI students.
- Document verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for verification of original documents (the dates are intimated by email at short notice, so keep checking your inbox).
Verification venue: Corporate Learning & Development Centre (CLDC), Nalanda Complex, TIFR Road, ECIL, Hyderabad – 500062 (Ph: 040-27186454 / 2279).
Take along the signed online application form with a recent passport-size photo affixed, originals plus photocopies of your MSDE registration, date-of-birth proof, government ID (Aadhaar / driving licence / passport), educational certificates, and latest caste/PWD certificates wherever applicable. No TA/DA is paid for attending.
How to Apply — Two Mandatory Steps
This is where many candidates slip up: registering on the MSDE portal alone is not enough. Both steps are compulsory.
- Step 1 — MSDE registration: First register yourself on the Apprenticeship India portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
- Step 2 — ECIL application: Then submit the online application on the ECIL website — go to ecil.co.in → Human Resources → Current Job Openings — between 30.09.2026 and 11.10.2026. Applications submitted only through the ECIL website will be considered.
- After submitting, take a printout of the registered application form with the system-generated application number and note it down — you must quote it in all future correspondence. Re-print is possible any time before the last date.
- All communication from ECIL will go to the email address you furnish in the online form — use an email you actually check.
Three Things to Know Before You Apply
- No job guarantee after training. ECIL is explicit: the engagement is strictly under the Apprenticeship Act 1961, and apprentices have no right to claim employment in ECIL after the one-year training ends. What you do get is practical experience at a Miniratna PSU and the NAC on passing the final practical test.
- Police verification and fitness certificates are mandatory. At the time of joining, you must submit a Police Verification Certificate from the SP office of your district HQ and a physical fitness certificate from a Civil/Assistant Surgeon. Selected candidates who cannot produce these will face problems at joining — arrange them early.
- Withdrawal has a cost. Before training begins you must execute a Contract of Apprenticeship, and selected candidates are not allowed to withdraw except for reasons beyond their control. Failing to complete training makes you liable to refund the entire training cost plus stipend received, as determined by the Central Apprenticeship Advisor.
