It has been a long road. The advertisement came out on 30 January 2026, the preliminary examination was held on 26 April, the mains ran from 27 to 29 June, the mains result followed on 17 September, and the personality tests wrapped up on 8 October. Today, with the allocation list, the commission has effectively closed the loop on the 102 reported posts of the HCS (Executive Branch) and other allied services.

Before you rush to the PDF, read the next section — because the most common mistake candidates are making right now is confusing two very different documents.

HPSC HCS Final Result 2026 — Key Facts

Marks List vs Final Allocation — Don’t Confuse the Two

This is the point almost every result website is blurring, so let’s be precise. On 8 October 2026, HPSC published the roll-number-wise marks of the 316 candidates who were interviewed — their written-exam marks plus interview marks, totalling out of 675. That document tells you how you scored. It does not by itself tell you that you are selected.

The allocation notice dated 17 October 2026 is the document that matters for selection: it carries the roll numbers of the candidates the commission is actually recommending. A further notice on 15 October 2026 dealt with the marks of candidates whose results had been withheld earlier — so if your roll number was in the withheld category, check the latest notice for your updated status.

For a quick recap of how this recruitment unfolded:

How to Check the HPSC HCS Allocation List

1. Open the official HPSC website at hpsc.gov.in and look for the results/notices section.
2. Find the notice for HCS (Executive Branch) & Other Allied Services Examination-2025, Advt No. 22/2026 — the allocation PDF is dated 17 October 2026.
3. Open the PDF and read its heading first to confirm it is the allocation/selection notice, not the marks list.
4. Search for your roll number in the PDF (Ctrl+F on a computer, or the find option on your phone).
5. If your roll number appears, save and print the PDF — you will need it during document verification.

If Your Result Was Withheld Earlier

The commission’s marks notice of 8 October 2026 contained entries for candidates whose results were withheld, and a further notice on 15 October 2026 addressed the marks of previously withheld candidates. If that was you, do not rely on second-hand summaries — open the latest notice on the official results page yourself and verify your individual status directly from the commission’s document before drawing any conclusion.

What Happens After the Final Result

Recommendation in the allocation list is not the same as appointment. Per the recruitment rules, the remaining formalities typically include document verification (checking eligibility conditions claimed in the application), medical fitness as prescribed, and the final appointment orders issued by the government. Keep your certificates, category documents, and the application printout ready — and watch hpsc.gov.in for the document-verification schedule rather than relying on rumours.
