KEA Land Surveyor Provisional Result 2026 Out (RPC): Objection Link, Marks Check & What’s Next

Post Date: 11 Oct 2026 Updated: 11 Oct 2026 By: Raju

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has published the Land Surveyor Provisional Result 2026 for candidates in the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC). If you appeared for the competitive examination held on 2 October 2026, you can now see the marks you scored — calculated on the revised key answers — and, if you spot a genuine error, raise an objection with supporting documents.

But read this before you rush to the objection link: this is a provisional result, not the final merit list. The window to file objections closed at 11:00 AM on 11 October 2026, and KEA has not announced when the final result will come out. Here is everything the official notice (Ref: ED/KEA/18/Ne.Vi/2026, dated 09.10.2026) actually says — plus what it quietly doesn’t.

Important — objection window closed. KEA accepted objections to this provisional result only until 11:00 AM on 11 October 2026, through the link given in the notice, with supporting documents. If that deadline has passed for you, the correct next step is to wait for the final result — not to keep resubmitting objections, which the notice says will not be considered at this stage.

Provisional Result vs Final Merit List — Don’t Confuse the Two

This is the single most misunderstood part of the KEA notice, so let us be precise. What KEA published on 9 October is a provisional result showing each candidate’s marks, computed from the revised key answers. It is not the final merit list and not the selection list.

The provisional result is essentially KEA saying: “here is what you scored, check it carefully.” Candidates get one short window to point out errors in the result itself — and only then does the authority finalise the result. The notice does not say when the final result will be published, so treat any date you see on Telegram channels or YouTube with suspicion unless it appears on an official KEA notice.

What “RPC” means. This notice covers the Residual Parent Cadre — that is, candidates applying under the non-local (non-Kalyana Karnataka) quota. If you applied under the Kalyana Karnataka (Hyderabad-Karnataka) quota, this provisional result notice does not cover your category. Filing an objection under the wrong cadre is one of the fastest ways to have it ignored.

The Full Timeline: Exam to Provisional Result

KEA moved unusually fast on this one — barely a week from exam to provisional result. Here is the complete chain of events:

Event Date
Competitive examination held 02.10.2026
Key answers published on KEA website 03.10.2026
Last date for objections to key answers 05.10.2026 (closed)
Subject expert committee reviewed objections Before 09.10.2026
Revised key answers published 09.10.2026
Provisional result published 09.10.2026
Last date for objections to provisional result 11.10.2026, before 11 AM (closed)
Final result Date not announced

Notice how the key answers went through two rounds: the first set was published on 3 October, candidates objected by 5 October, and a subject expert committee reviewed those objections before publishing revised keys on 9 October. The provisional result you see now is built on that revised key. That matters, because KEA has already absorbed one round of corrections — which means objections at this stage need to be about the result data itself, not the keys.

How Objections Were Filed (and 4 Mistakes That Got Them Rejected)

The objection window has closed, but understanding the process matters — the same pattern repeats in every KEA cycle, and the Land Surveyor final result can still be delayed by sloppy objections. Per the notice:

  • Where: objections had to go through the official link — cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea — the same link printed in the notice.
  • How: submit the objection together with supporting documents, before 11:00 AM on 11.10.2026.
  • What the notice did NOT specify: the login process, the objection format, or the acceptable file size and type for uploads. Candidates had to follow the instructions shown on the portal itself.

And these are the mistakes the notice explicitly warns against — each one is a rejection in plain language:

  1. Objections without supporting documents are not considered. A bare claim — “question 14’s answer is wrong” — with nothing attached goes straight to the bin. KEA was explicit about this.
  2. Key-answer objections are no longer accepted. If your grievance is about a key answer rather than the result, your window closed on 5 October 2026. Raising it again at the result-objection stage does not work — the notice says so directly.
  3. Missing the 11 AM cutoff. This was not an end-of-day deadline. The notice fixed the cutoff at 11:00 AM on 11 October 2026 — a midday deadline that catches out candidates who assume they have the whole day.
  4. Using an unofficial link or portal. KEA names exactly one channel: the link in the notice. Third-party “objection helper” sites and links forwarded on WhatsApp are not part of the process.

What Happens Now — The Final Result

With the objection window shut, the ball is back in KEA’s court. The logical next step is for the authority to review the objections received against the provisional result, make any corrections it deems fit, and then publish the final result. KEA’s notice does not give a date for this — and this is where candidates should be careful. Do not rely on predicted dates from unofficial channels; watch the KEA website and the cetonline portal for the actual announcement.

One more practical note: since this is a provisional result built on revised keys, the final result’s big question for most candidates is where the cutoff lands — and the notice does not mention vacancies at all, so any cutoff prediction right now is guesswork. Keep your roll number and application details handy; you will need them to check the final list.
