If you were all set to sit the Bihar STET 2026 on 4 November, stop and check your hall ticket again. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has moved that date — and the admit card you downloaded earlier for 4 November no longer works. A revised hall ticket is now the only valid one, and it is available from 24 October 2026 on the official portal stetregistration.cbrt.co.in.
This is not a full re-schedule. Only the candidates whose exam was fixed for 4 November 2026 are affected. Everyone else keeps their original date. That distinction matters, because the most common mistake right now will be candidates on other dates downloading a new card they do not need — or, worse, 4 November candidates walking in with the old, cancelled card.
What Changed and Why
BSEB issued Notice No. P.R. 247/2026 revising the STET 2026 schedule. The examination planned for 4 November 2026 clashed with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) examinations, so BSEB pushed it to 21 November 2026. Admit cards already issued for 4 November stand cancelled, and revised hall tickets are being issued from 24 October 2026.
Old 4 November admit card = cancelled. If your exam was on 4 November, do not carry the old hall ticket to the centre. Download the revised admit card from stetregistration.cbrt.co.in and check that it shows 21 November 2026 before exam day.

Who Needs the Revised Hall Ticket?
Only one group: candidates whose STET 2026 exam was scheduled for 4 November 2026. For them, three things changed together — the exam date (4 November to 21 November), the admit card (old one cancelled, new one from 24 October), and, potentially, the centre and shift details printed on the new card.
Candidates appearing on any other date in the 25 October to 21 November window should follow their existing schedule and the hall ticket they already hold. Downloading again will not change anything for them, and the revised-card notice does not apply to their date.
Check three fields on the new card, not just the date: the exam date (should read 21 November 2026), the reporting time and shift, and the centre name and address. A revised card can carry a different centre or shift from the cancelled one — do not assume the old centre still applies.
How to Download the Revised Bihar STET Admit Card 2026
Visit the official STET portal at stetregistration.cbrt.co.in and open the STET 2026 admit card download or candidate login section. Enter the login credentials the portal asks for, submit the details, and check the candidate’s name, examination date, reporting time and examination centre on the hall ticket that appears. Download it and take a clear printout for exam use.
Do this as soon as the revised card is live for you, not on the morning of 21 November. If any detail on the card looks wrong — a different name spelling, a wrong paper, or a date that still reads 4 November — follow the official examination authority’s instructions for assistance well before the exam, because corrections at the centre gate are rarely possible.
Details Printed on the Hall Ticket
After downloading, verify each of these against your application: candidate’s name, roll number or application details, examination date, reporting time and shift, examination centre name and address, photograph and identification details, and the examination-day instructions printed on the card. If anything is incorrect, raise it through the official channel before the exam rather than hoping it will be overlooked at the centre.
Two Confusions to Avoid
First, the KVS/NVS clash is the reason, not a rumour. Some social-media posts are framing the 4 November change as a postponement of the whole STET. It is not — the rest of the 25 October to 21 November schedule is unchanged, and only the 4 November slot moved.
Second, the portal matters. The genuine admit card portal is stetregistration.cbrt.co.in. Other sites carrying “Bihar STET admit card” links may ask for details or show outdated cards. Download only from the official portal linked in the Important Links table below, and ignore any page asking for payment to release a hall ticket — BSEB does not charge for admit card downloads.
Exam-day basics: carry the revised (not old) printed hall ticket, a valid photo ID matching the details on the card, and reach the centre by the reporting time printed on the new card. Follow the identification, reporting and examination-day instructions printed on the admit card itself.
