The Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JK SET) 2026 was held on 25 October 2026 in offline, pen-and-paper mode. Two days after the exam, the question on every candidate’s mind is the same: when will the answer key come, and how many marks have I scored? Here is the honest position as of today — the key is not out yet, but the wait should be short, and the marking scheme makes your score very easy to work out once it arrives.

JK SET Answer Key 2026 — Overview

The key is not out yet — do not trust unofficial keys

This point needs to be stated plainly, because the gap between an exam and its official key is exactly when fake keys spread. Coaching centres, Telegram channels and YouTube videos often publish “memory-based” keys within hours of the exam. Those are guesses built from candidates’ recollections, not the official key — and in a pen-and-paper test with multiple sets, a wrong memory-based key can easily knock 10–20 marks off your estimate in either direction.

Only the key published by the JKSET Agency on jujkset.in counts. If a PDF or link you find does not come from that website, treat it as unofficial, however confident the person sharing it sounds. The official download link is simply not active yet — the agency has said the key is expected by the end of October, and the link will appear on the official website when it is ready.

How to download the JK SET answer key (when it releases)

Once the link goes live, the steps will be straightforward:

1. Visit the official website, jujkset.in.
2. Look for the JK SET answer key link on the home page.
3. Open the link to view the answer key PDF.
4. Download it and save a copy for your own record — you will need it again when the objection window opens.

Keep your admit card and the question paper (or your marked responses, if you noted them down) ready before you sit down to check. Comparing answers in a hurry, from memory alone, is how most calculation errors happen.

How to calculate your JK SET score

JK SET 2026 has one of the simplest marking schemes around, and it works in your favour: each correct answer carries 2 marks, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. Your estimated score is therefore:

A few worked examples, so you can check your own maths at a glance:

One caution, though: because there is no negative marking, your estimate will always look generous if you counted doubtful answers as correct. A realistic approach is to calculate two figures — one counting only the answers you are sure about, and one counting everything you attempted. Your actual score will usually fall between the two, and the gap between them tells you how much the final key could still move things.

Provisional key vs final key — and the objection window

The key that appears first will be the provisional answer key. That version is open to challenge: if you believe an answer in it is wrong, you will be able to raise an objection during the objection window. After the agency reviews all objections, it will publish the final answer key — and against that final version, no further objections are allowed.

What to keep ready right now

• Your admit card — you may need your roll number and other details to access the key or the objection portal.
• Your marked answers — the question paper copy, or the answers you noted down after the exam. Without these, the key alone cannot give you a score.
• The official website bookmarked — jujkset.in is the only place the key will officially appear. Checking it once a day until the end of October is enough; there is no separate portal to watch.
• Patience on the final key — the result will be based on the final key, not the provisional one, so a couple of answers changing after objections is normal and expected.
